About Alyssa:

Alyssa Tandlich was born in New York City,  grew up in New Jersey, and graduated from Curry College in Massachusetts.  After graduation, Alyssa moved to New York City where she began her career in fashion.  Her first job was at Lord & Taylor’s Fifth Avenue flag ship store, where Alyssa worked in the visual display department.  She then worked as a visual merchandiser and managed the public relations division for a clothing manufacturer.  After that, Alyssa worked as an account executive, and later as a senior account executive, for two fashion public relations agencies.

In 1995, Alyssa started Groove Camp, a fashion forward company that designed and manufactured unique tee shirts and accessories for kids and tweens.  After thirteen years of running Groove Camp, she decided to change directions and use her creativity, design and manufacturing skills, along with her knowledge of the fashion industry, and explore a new endeavor.  After formulating and testing different ideas, in 2011 Alyssa created two complementary companies. They are: Fashion Birthday NYC, an interactive fashion design birthday party service for kids and tweens, and Party Favor Jubilee, an e-commerce website with a focus on a variety of unique party favors and gifts.  Click on the link to contact Alyssa.

Alyssa lives on The Upper West Side of Manhattan.  She enjoys riding her mountain bike on the waterfront in Riverside Park and searching thrift stores for mid-century modern furniture to restore.  She also enjoys interior design, theater and music.  Legend has it that Alyssa once attended two Jason Mraz concerts on the same day.
