Celebration Station: Creative Kids’ Halloween Decorations

Calling all giggling ghosts and groovy goblins: make your Halloweentable decorations boo-tiful with this upcycled paper towel utensil holder and spook-tastic ghost napkin.  It’s an inexpensive and unique craftproject that’s easy to create and is also a fun, seasonal place setting for your little boos.

Halloween Decorations

Spooky directions to make the upcycled paper towel utensil holder:

  1.  Cut a paper towel or toilet paper roll into 2 inch pieces
  2.  Cover the cut pieces with decorative, polka-dot Washi tape. I used black and orange. (Washi tape can be found at your local craft store)
  3.  Cover the utensil handles with orange polka-dot Washi tape

Directions to make the spook-tastic ghost napkin:

  1. Open your white napkin so it comes to a point
  2. In the point of the napkin place a cotton ball.  This cotton ball will become the ghost’s head.
  3.  At the base of the cotton ball, twist the napkin gently, and secure with a white baggie tie. This becomes the ghost’s neck and also forms its body
  4.  With a glue gun, carefully adhere the jiggly eyes to the ghost’s face
  5.  Use a black marker to draw a mouth
  6.  Black and orange plates complete this humorously-haunting place setting
